With over twenty years experience
in the fields of public health, clinical nutrition and women’s
health, Dr. Ian brings an extraordinary combination of skills,
knowledge and sharp perception to her medical practice. She has
served on the public health faculty of Southern Connecticut State
University as well as Patient Educator for the Department of
Obstetrics at Yale-New Haven Medical Center. She is the former
Medical Director of Brookfield Integrative Medicine in Brookfield,
Wisconsin. Dr. Ian is a spokesperson for the American Cancer
Society where she lectures on breast health and breast cancer
prevention.
In addition to working with acute
and chronic conditions, she also works with patients for the prevention
of diseases associated with lifestyle and aging. Her services include
supportive care for chemotherapy and other treatments associated
with cancer as well as all pre and post surgical conditions.
In addition to a
Doctoral Degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College
of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Science, Dr. Ian also holds
a Masters Degree in Community Health Education from Southern Connecticut
State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from
the University of Utah. She is an accomplished writer and has published
numerous articles in the field of women’s health, nutrition,
mind-body medicine, death and dying. Dr. Ian is also a frequent
and sought after lecturer and teacher on wellness, nutrition and
wide array of health related topics.
